01 · Challenge
What needed to be solved
Connect the street-facing and courtyard buildings into a functional residential ensemble with shared access, parking for 24 apartments and phased construction.
02 · Scope
Design decision
The street-facing building has a ground floor, three upper floors and a recessed top floor (P+3+Ps). Designed as part of a continuous street frontage, it contains 14 apartments. The ground floor accommodates the garage, entrance circulation and technical rooms. The three upper floors contain 1.5-room and 2.5-room apartments, while the recessed floor contains two 3.5-room apartments. Terraces and the recessed top floor shape the building volume, above which a green roof is planned. The courtyard building has a ground floor, two upper floors and a mansard level (P+2+Mans), containing 10 apartments. The ground floor accommodates garage spaces, communal areas and technical rooms. The first and second floors contain 1.5-room apartments, and the mansard level contains two 3.5-room apartments. Access is provided through a passage in the street-facing building and across the interior of the plot.
03 · Result
