The project is conceived as a system of museum, media, educational and supporting facilities above water and marshland. Instead of a single enclosed building, the complex unfolds as a network of pavilions, platforms and walkways that gradually reveal the landscape. The main museum and restaurant, although not shown in the renderings, form the programme’s principal anchors.
Tall, organically shaped pylons are designed as individual museum and media stations for themed exhibitions, digital installations, projections, sound works, workshops and small gatherings. Moving between them becomes part of the museum narrative, while views toward the water, mountains and wetland vegetation directly connect the cultural programme with Plav’s natural heritage.
The pylons are formed as elongated shells of curved timber ribs around transparent glass cores. The timber skeleton filters light, while the glass enclosure enables controlled views and a changing atmosphere throughout the day. Raised above the ground and connected by walkways, circular platforms and viewpoints, the structures limit their impact on the sensitive ecosystem.
The bungalows form a small, controlled tourism segment for guests, researchers, artists and participants in educational programmes. The compact floating units have ribbed timber shells, glazed fronts and private terraces, and are connected by pontoons with enough separation for privacy. Timber, glass, discreet metal joints and warm lighting create a light architecture in which the landscape is an active part of the cultural experience.
