What needed to be solved
Accommodate the programme without closing off the site, preserving the passage of light, views and movement through the ground level and garden.

Design decision
The building is raised, the ground floor recessed, and the street and garden sides are developed as distinct but connected spatial characters.
03 · Result
What the design enables
The recessed ground floor connects the entrance and garden without closing off the site, while the raised part directs views toward the tree canopy.
